The virtual and the digital are two entirely different animals, it is just that we are witnessing the digitization of our pre-existing virtualities. We are bathed in the virtual - in simulation - and it's only that we are moving toward a hyper-mediated, hyper-simulated, hyper-real satellization of all our virtualities and ready-made worlds.
